To add a SC to the system, you must have system-wide SC privileges.
To do this, first install the SC on the system. After you have installed and started the SC, it can communicate with SCInterface and you can add it within SCInterface. The following table explains the fields used to add a SC.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Server Name | The name for this SC. |
| Address | The hostname of the system on which the SC resides. This must match the output of the 'hostname -f' command on that system. |
| Port | The port on which you would like this SC to communicate with the SCM. |
| Timeout | The number of seconds before a communications timeout between this SC and the SCM. |
| Password | The password used to validate communication with the SCM (before the validation key is passed). |
| Owner | The Owner of the SC uses one of his or her SC Credits to run the SC when it is enabled. They must have a SC Credit available to use before enabling the SC. |

| Location | The geographical location of the SC. Used to help users organize their systems. |
| Disabled | Select the checkbox to disable this SC. |
